Bravest vs. Finest Charity Game

The Chicago’s Bravest and Finest baseball team has been playing ball since the early 1990’s but traces its roots back to the first CFD and CPD baseball teams in 1882.  The 11th annual Chicago Police Department vs. Chicago Fire Department Charity Baseball Classic was held on Saturday August 21, 2010, at U.S. Cellular Field. Funds raised benefited Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Department charities. The Chicago Police Department won the game, 8 – 5. New to the pre-game ceremony this year was a motorcycle honor guard provided by the Warrior Watch Riders. The motorcycle club, which is dedicated to supporting U.S. troops, ringed the warning track with 100 motorcycles displaying the American flag.
