The Valor Games

The Valor Games Midwest is an introductory adaptive sports competition for wounded, injured or ill veterans and active duty service members with physical and visual disabilities.  For a very special event, the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority donated the use of U.S. Cellular Field for the 2012 Valor Games Midwest in partnership with World Sport Chicago and with support from the U.S. Paralympics, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Chicago Park District. This dynamic endeavor is a series of events similar to those at the Paralympic Games.  The goal of the event is to introduce participants to a variety of adaptive sports and inspire them to return home to their own communities, motivated to continue living a healthy, active life.
