The Valor Games

The inaugural of the Valor Games Midwest was hosted by World Sport Chicago in August, 2011. The Valor Games is an introductory adaptive sports competition for wounded, injured or ill veterans and active duty service members with physical and visual disabilities. The three-day competition included archery, cycling, discus, shot put, rowing and power lifting. The Authority donated the use of the outfield and parking lots A and B to host archery and cycling events at U.S. Cellular Field. The goal of the event is to introduce participants to a variety of adaptive sports and inspire them to return home to their own communities, motivated to continue living a healthy, active life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/2″][image_with_animation image_url=”2026″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/2″][image_with_animation image_url=”2027″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
