Bravest vs. Finest Charity Game

The Chicago’s Bravest and Finest baseball team has been playing ball since the early 1990’s but traces its roots back to the first Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Department baseball teams in 1882.  In August, ISFA hosted the 14th annual Chicago Police Department vs. Chicago Fire Department charity baseball game which raised nearly $5,000 to benefit the Police Department’s Memorial Fund and the Fire Department’s Benevolent Fund. Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy and Fire Department Commissioner Jose Santiago threw out the ceremonial first pitches. Prior to the game, the Warriors’ Watch Riders lined the warning track on their motorcycles to pay tribute to the men and women who have died in the line of duty.
