Bravest vs. Finest Charity Game
The Chicago’s Bravest and Finest baseball team has been playing ball since the early 1990’s but traces it roots back to the first Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Department baseball teams in 1882. The 12th Annual Chicago Police Department vs. Chicago Fire Department Charity Baseball Classic, benefiting the families of fallen police officers and fire fighters, was held on Friday, September 16 at U.S. Cellular Field. This year’s contest was the first in the series to be held at night; under the lights. Approximately 6,000 attendees watched as the Police prevailed by a final score of 7-2.
