- Guaranteed Rate Field is located on Chicago’s South Side in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
- The stadium broke ground on May 7, 1989, and opened on April 18, 1991.
- Guarantee Rate Field is the first new sports facility built in Chicago since Chicago Stadium opened in 1929.
- The ballpark has been featured in three major motion pictures: “Little Big League,” “Major League II” and “My Best Friend’s Wedding.”
- Commercials for the PGA Tour, Nike, Reebok and Boys & Girls Clubs have been filmed at the ballpark.

Guaranteed Rate Field Kids Zone
The Kids Zone at Guaranteed Rate Field is a 15,000-square-foot baseball and softball skills instruction area located on the ballpark’s left field concourse. A one-of-a-kind, hands-on, interactive baseball area, this park attraction features a youth-sized baseball diamond for coaching clinics, batting and pitching cages. Staffed by Chicago White Sox Training Centers personnel, kids will have the chance to learn and participate in the fundamentals of baseball during a Major League Baseball game, including a timed dash to first base and a whiffle ball field. The Kids Zone section also contains a kid-friendly concession and souvenir stand.

The Illinois Sports Facilities Authority and the Chicago White Sox are committed to making sure that every fan is able to enjoy game day at Guaranteed Rate Field. With more than 400 wheelchair-accessible seats, fans with disabilities can be assured that every level of the ballpark has designated seating tailored specifically to their needs.
